2016 continues to be, so far , the most traumatic year to bear because it involved challenges hard to grasp. The energy this year has been intense and rightly much needed because we seem to have been living in a bubble that had to be busted one day irrespective of we acknowledge it or not.
While others have already started to write off 2016 as the worst year even before we have reached December, though we do this every year to make ourselves feel better, I refuse to join the herd mentality. I have to admit, they’ve their reasons to call it out and I respect their sentiments wholeheartedly but for me, 2016 has been eye-opening to say the least. In the personal space, I’ve been undergoing transformations from time to time, every morning with sun rising sets an adventure for me to expect the unexpected till the sun dawns. Yes, sometimes it’s a moment worth cherishing and lessons worth learning yet nevertheless, exciting to core.
As I come from a space of healing (I work as Reiki healer and Tarot card reader), this easy-going quality of mine comes quite naturally to me, however, this does not make me a saint either. I am a human being too who have feelings, have the right to feel dejected, humiliated and disappointed, seek advices and healing from other sources, sometimes I can be an asshole and a whining bitch too but I am also a loving, caring, nurturing and even brave. Perhaps, what sets me apart from others is I am able to channelize it in a better way sooner I realize the folly and let in it only to let go off. Besides healing work, chat-to-friends, the other technique that helps to stay grounded at a time of unpredictable scenarios, I come across is “Quotes”. Now, I am a sucker for quotes, I make it a point to read it the moment I complete my mediation-for-the-day after waking up and I love sharing it with few of my closest friends (either in Whatsapp or Facebook inbox) because it gives me immense happiness. Even if you read it, the essence breezes within you like a wave and touches your heart, it’s a like silver lining seen behind the dark clouds.
I still continue to read quotes from the internet and internalize it with great affection and while there are so many to explore and hard to choose the best ones, I manage to enlist my most 20 favorite quotes that has helped me grounded and I hope it will be of good use for you as well. Have fun reading it. 🙂
